10.01.23 Reflection

Happy New Year! First day back after the holidays and it was the EAT ME feast. In the morning we drew postcards to send to people in our lives, maybe people we lost contact with. I enjoyed this task, it was a simple and fun way to get back into it after the holidays. At 12 we headed to the lecture Theatre to set up our food. I made Haggis and Neeps, a traditional Scottish dish usually eaten on Burns night (25th January) I decorated the table with a tartan shirt and some candle sticks that I made, as well as little information placards about everything on the table. Once everyone had eaten I lead the group in a Ceilidh Dance called the Dashing White Sergeant. It is my favourite one and it was really exciting for me to share this with everyone else in the class. I really enjoyed today, sharing everyones cultures and eating lots of food was very interesting and fun.
