This is carrying on from the small model of my childhood 'library.' I am interested in the illustration pathway and I wanted to transform one of my favourite books from my childhood. At first I just wanted to create a new book cover, but after thinking a bit about the story I realised I wanted to shift the genre. I chose to look into horror illustration as the story of the book is actually quite scary (at least for a childrens book.) I looked a few illustrators on instagram (@godmachine, @inkrituals and @dzoolivier.) These illustrators do mostly black and white highly detailed drawings, prominently featuring satanic influences and lots of skeleton. I have included the skulls of many animals that feature in the book. while keeping the original style of the main character (the monkey in the middle)
